General, former member of the National Assembly Seyran (Sedrak) Saroyan has died.

Iravaban.net reports that Saroyan was born on 3 September, 1967 in village Haykashen of Armavir marz (formerly Etchmiadzin region).

1985-1987 served in the Soviet army.

In 1993 he passed the higher academic courses of the RA Defense Ministry, in 1996 – academic courses of the Land troops of Greece, in 2001 – academic courses of the Military Academy of the Chief Headquarters of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

In 2006 he graduated from the Military Academy of the Chief Headquarters of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation with a specialty Military Security of the State.

He is one of the active participants of Karabakh movement.
